About the role:

The Financial Analyst role at Chosen Foods is the perfect opportunity for a passionate, smart, well organized individual interested in growing into a finance career in a vibrant, growing, consumer goods company.

In this role you will be responsible to support the Finance & Accounting Director ensuring accurate and timely consolidated reports, budgets and forecasting by overseeing the FP&A dept. The company has two subsidiaries and manages the business by reporting on four business units and two broad product categories that are supported by the Jr. Financial Analysts, whom you will manage.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance or the equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain an updated 12-month rolling forecast via Adaptive Insights -- ensuring the integrity of the data, formulas, and categories/groupings are correct.
  • Responsible for the completion of the Consolidated Monthly Reporting Pkg, Periodic Planning timelines (quarterly budgets, annual plan, 12-month rolling forecast).
  • Support the creation of Board Materials (3x/year)
  • Oversee the Jr. Financial Analysts and their business unit sales forecasts, budgets and reports
  • Oversee and manage our planning software (Adaptive Insights) and BI software (QlikSense); this requires working with other depts to obtain and upload the most current Price List, Cost List and Trade Expenses.
  • Review, analyze and communicate monthly margins and variances (comparisons to budgets) to Director
  • Complete ad-hoc margins and sales reports
  • Attend weekly OPS and Sales planning meetings (Mondays at 11am)
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the company.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 years-experience in a finance related role
  • 2 years-experience managing a team
  • Adaptive Insights experience a PLUS
  • Highly organized and Strong attention to detail and checks own work for accuracy
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manner
  • Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet
  • Self-driven individual with the ability to multitask and manage multiple channels of communication
  • Comfortable working with and requesting information from a wide range of departments
