About the role:

An IT Support Intern at Chosen Foods is the perfect entry opportunity for a passionate and well-organized individual interested in an IT career at Chosen Foods. In this role you will provide general support to Chosen Foods headquarters users in San Diego, including: hardware support, software support (MS Office, Adobe, Outlook) either to Windows PC or MAC. Additionally, you will be maintaining a thorough working knowledge of technology and equipment, and quickly learn new systems as they are introduced. Implementing all the IT controls, software, hardware, that derive from the Chosen Foods IT Strategy, will also belong to your responsibilities. Ensure that a superior level of user service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, will always be a key focus for this position.

More specifically the essential tasks related to this position will be to:

  • Provide support to Chosen Foods HQ users in San Diego, including: hardware & software support.
  • Set up of the equipment for new hires (such as laptop, standard software, printers, etc).
  • Review and document incidents within the Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Implement IT controls, such as software/hardware and best practice guides throughout the company.
  • Additional non-essential functions will include:
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware and software within Chosen Foods HQ
  • Training on new software or hardware as needed
  • Education and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of college coursework & additional training in the use of computers, software, peripherals and the various systems currently in use.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows PC and MAC maintenance, TCP/IP Networks, Printers.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred for this role.
  • A True Team Player. Team player who demonstrates positive, constructive interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; as well as problem solving skills.
  • You have an ability to juggle and prioritize a high-volume workload and handle details in a timely manner under pressure.
